Where is check in?
Your very first stop will be check-in! You'll find us in the main lobby of the Cleveland Public Theatre located at 6415 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102.
What time should i arrive?
Check in begins at 10:30am and runs through 2pm. While check-in begins at 10:30am, restaurants will begin serving their soups at 11am.
How long does it take to go through the entire event?
It varies. There are 28 stops. Some people like to shop, others like to stop and have a drink, others like to talk to restaurant and shoppe owners. Soup will stop being served at 3pm so be sure to give yourself enough time to enjoy the entire event. We'd recommend allotting at least 2 hours to enjoy
Yes! This is a family friendly event. Passes aren't necessary for children. Many parents share soup with their kids.
How much soup do we receive?
Each pass gives you entrance to twenty-eight stops, each hosting a different soup. Attendees with a pass will receive 1.5 - 2 ounces of soup at each stop.
Can i buy tickets at the event?
Yes! We'll have tickets available at check-in at Cleveland Public Theatre. They'll be on sale from 10:30am - 2pm. Cash and credit cards will be accepted. Tickets are $25 in person and online. There are no fees to purchase your tickets in advance online.
What should i bring?
An empty stomach! And be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. In addition, please consider a donation of new socks or underwear (plus sizes preferred) for distribution by the West Side Catholic Center. You may also want to bring a pencil to take notes as you'll be voting for your favorites in four categories.
How does the event work?
At check-in you'll receive a spoon, a map and a lanyard pass. You'll then start your journey visiting neighborhood shoppes, galleries, theatres and restaurants on the soup route. We encourage you to talk to business and restaurant owners and representatives along the way! Once you're done you'll vote by text message for your favorite host business and soups in three categories. Voting instructions will be found in your map.
Soups that are vegetarian, vegan and/or gluten-free will be marked on your map. The number of soups that fall into each of these categories varies from year to year as chefs and restaurants are encouraged to offer their best soup. In addition, we encourage you to ask and talk to each chef / restaurant representative for exact ingredients.
Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the West Side Catholic Center. The event will happen rain or shine. No refunds will be given.
